Terms of Service

1. Operator

TmplVision is a software-as-a-service product operated by:

aheadware GmbH is the sole legal owner and operator of TmplVision.

2. Scope of Application

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of the TmplVision platform, including:

• Web application
• API access
• Document processing services
• Subscription plans

By registering for an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that entity.

3. Description of Service

TmplVision is a cloud-based document generation and processing platform that enables users to:

• Upload document templates
• Insert structured data
• Generate documents via API or web interface
• Manage document workflows

Infrastructure is provided via:

• Google Cloud (document processing & storage)
• Supabase (account & database services)

3.1 Server Regions

TmplVision operates in two independent server regions:

• EU — hosted in the European Union (Google Cloud, europe-west3)
• US — hosted in the United States (Google Cloud, us-central1)

Each region maintains its own fully isolated infrastructure, including databases, file storage, and document processing services. No data is shared or replicated between regions.

Users must select their preferred region during account registration. The selected region cannot be changed after registration. This ensures full data residency compliance and prevents cross-region data transfers.

3.2 External Resources

The TmplVision website and application may load resources from external third-party services to ensure proper functionality and presentation. These may include:

• Fonts from external providers (e.g. Google Fonts)
• JavaScript libraries or frameworks from content delivery networks (CDNs)
• UI components or stylesheets from third-party sources

When such resources are loaded, your browser may automatically transmit technical data (such as your IP address) to the respective external servers. For details on how this data is handled, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to improve, modify, or discontinue features at any time.

4. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

• Provide accurate registration information
• Select a server region (EU or US) during registration
• Keep your credentials secure
• Not share access credentials with unauthorized parties

The server region selected during registration is permanent and cannot be changed afterwards. All account data, documents, and generated files will be stored and processed exclusively within the chosen region. If you require access in a different region, a separate account and subscription are required.

Your email address serves as your account username. By registering, you agree to receive system emails at this address, including password reset requests, account verification, and important technical notifications (e.g. service changes, security alerts). We do not send marketing or promotional emails.

You are responsible for all activities under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts in case of violations.

5. Subscription & Payments

5.1 Subscription Plans

TmplVision may offer:

• Free plans (limited usage)
• Paid subscription plans
• Usage-based credits

Plan details are displayed within the application.

5.2 Region-Specific Subscriptions

Each subscription is valid for a single server region only. A subscription purchased for the EU region does not grant access to the US region, and vice versa.

If you require access in multiple regions, a separate account and subscription must be purchased for each region.

5.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment processing, invoicing, sales tax, and refunds on our behalf.

By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the Lemon Squeezy Terms of Service.

5.4 Billing

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
• Fees are payable in advance
• Payments are non-refundable unless required by law

Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes
• Upload malicious code
• Attempt to reverse engineer the platform
• Interfere with system integrity or security
• Abuse API rate limits

We may suspend access if misuse is detected.

7. User Content

You retain full ownership of all documents and data uploaded to TmplVision.

aheadware GmbH does not claim ownership over your content.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited right to process your data solely for:

• Providing the Service
• Maintaining system stability
• Technical support (if required)

We do not access document contents unless necessary for support and only with authorization.

8. Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Document data is:

• Stored and processed exclusively on Google Cloud
• Restricted to the region selected by the user
• Not shared with unauthorized third parties

All communication is encrypted via SSL/TLS.

9. Availability

We aim to provide high service availability.

However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service and are not liable for:

• Temporary outages
• Maintenance periods
• Events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence
• For slight negligence, liability is limited to foreseeable contractual damages
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages
• We are not liable for data loss if appropriate backup measures were not taken by the user

Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.

11. Termination

Users may terminate their subscription at any time via account settings.

We may suspend or terminate accounts in case of:

• Breach of these Terms
• Illegal activity
• Non-payment

Upon termination:

• Access is revoked
• Data may be deleted after a reasonable period

12. Intellectual Property

All platform components, including:

• Software
• Code
• Design
• Branding
• API structure

remain the intellectual property of aheadware GmbH.

No rights are transferred except the limited right to use the Service.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Users will be notified of material changes.

Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.

If the user is a merchant within the meaning of German commercial law: place of jurisdiction is Germany.
